Terms & Conditions
COMMERCIAL EDGE DANCE STUDIOS – TERMS & CONDITIONS
By enrolling in any program, class, or service at Commercial Edge Dance Studios, all students and/or parents/guardians agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Media Consent
Commercial Edge Dance Studios may take photographs and video recordings during classes, workshops, or events. These may be used for:
- Social media content
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Showcasing weekly choreography
- Supporting student development, confidence, and progress review
Our studio may use fully edited class footage for educational and promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in any photos or videos, it is your responsibility to inform your instructor before class begins. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate this request.
2. Payment Policy
- All payments are made in 4-week blocks.
- Once payment is made, you are committing to those scheduled sessions.
- If you miss a class for any reason, no refund or credit will be issued.
- Payments are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the studio cancels a session.
3. Attendance & Punctuality
- Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for class.
- Late arrival may result in a reduced warm-up, and for safety reasons, instructors reserve the right to refuse participation if a student has missed essential warm-up exercises.
4. Required Clothing & Safety Equipment
For safety, comfort, and professionalism:
Footwear
- Proper footwear (sneakers or supported dance shoes) is mandatory unless otherwise directed.
- Sandals, Crocs, flip flops, slides, or any footwear lacking support are not permitted.
- Students in incorrect footwear will not be allowed to participate.
Knee Pads & Protective Gear
- Knee pads must be kept in every dancer’s training bag.
- Due to unknown choreography prior to class, knee pads are essential for safe landings and injury prevention.
- If an instructor requests specific attire, it is the student’s responsibility to bring it.
Clothing & Coverage
We encourage dancers to feel confident and express their personal style. However, modesty, movement, and safety remain priorities.
- Skirts, skorts, or flowy bottoms must be worn with tight-fitted shorts underneath.
- Loose-fitting, oversized, or non-form-fitting tops must be layered with a sports bra, sports top, or fitted vest for coverage.
- All clothing must allow full freedom of movement without risk of exposure.
5. Health & Safety
- All injuries, limitations, or medical concerns must be disclosed to the instructor before class begins. and also can be filled out when signing up in our medical section.
- Students must follow all instructions to ensure personal and group safety.
- Commercial Edge Dance Studios is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to comply with instructor guidance, safety rules, or required attire policies.
6. Behaviour & Conduct
- Respectful behaviour toward instructors and fellow dancers is required at all times.
- Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from class without refund.
7. Liability
By participating, students (and parents/guardians of minors) acknowledge that dance involves physical activity and accept full responsibility for any risks associated with participation. Commercial Edge Dance Studios is not liable for personal injury, lost property, or damage to personal belongings.
8. Policy Agreement
By enrolling in classes, submitting payment, or entering the premises, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all Terms & Conditions listed above.
