COMMERCIAL EDGE DANCE STUDIOS – MEDIA, ATTIRE & SAFETY AGREEMENT
By participating in any class, workshop, program, or rehearsal at Commercial Edge Dance Studios, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies:
Media Consent
Commercial Edge Dance Studios may capture photographs and video recordings during classes for the purposes of advertising, marketing, student development, and showcasing weekly choreography. Fully edited class footage may also be used to support students in building confidence, monitoring progress, and reviewing choreography.
If you do not wish to appear in any photographs or recordings, it is your responsibility to inform your instructor beforeclass begins. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
Required Dancewear & Safety Equipment
For the safety and professionalism of all students, proper attire is mandatory.
- If your instructor requests specific clothing or equipment—such as knee pads or designated dancewear—it is each dancer’s responsibility to bring these items to class.
- Knee pads are essential in every dancer’s bag. Because class choreography is not disclosed beforehand, knee pads must always be available to ensure safe landings and reduce the risk of injury.
- Unsafe footwear is strictly prohibited. Sandals, Crocs, flip flops, slides, or any shoe that lacks proper support are not permitted. Students wearing unsafe footwear will not be allowed to participate.
- Sneakers or appropriate, supportive dance shoes are required unless otherwise directed by the instructor.
Clothing, Modesty & Performance Presentation
At Commercial Edge Dance Studios, we encourage dancers to look and feel their best—and to confidently express themselves through their style. However, safety, comfort, and appropriate coverage are equally important.
To ensure a professional and secure training environment, the following attire guidelines apply:
- If skirts, skorts, or any flowy or loose-fitting bottoms are worn, tight-fitted shorts must be worn underneath to ensure proper coverage during movement.
- If dancers choose tops that are loose, oversized, or not form-fitting, a sports bra, sports top, or fitted vest must be worn underneath for additional coverage and comfort.
- All clothing must allow for full range of motion without risk of exposure, distraction, or safety concerns.
These guidelines apply to all students and are especially important for younger dancers and parents reviewing this policy.
Participation & Responsibility
Students are expected to:
- Arrive with all required attire.
- Follow instructor guidance at all times.
- Disclose any existing injuries or limitations prior to class.
Commercial Edge Dance Studios is not responsible for injuries caused by failure to comply with footwear, clothing, or safety requirements.
Policy Agreement
By entering the studio or participating in any class, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all media, attire, and safety policies outlined above.
